  The Heimlich maneuver is a first aid method that parents should learn, and it is very practical for children under three years old. There are two first aid methods available.

     For children under 3 years old, the rescuer should wrap the child upside down, put one arm against the child's chest, and then pinch the child's cheekbones with their hands. Let the child lie face down on the rescuer's knees, and then use the other hand to pat the child's back 5-6 times. The child can stop the action after spitting out the foreign object.

     After the above operations, if the foreign object stuck in the child's throat still does not come out, then change the position. The rescuer kneels down or takes a sitting position, puts the child between the legs and faces forward, puts his middle fingers or index fingers on the child's chest and abdomen above the umbilicus, and then quickly hits upwards to compress. Repeat this action until the stuck foreign object is discharged. Be careful not to use too much force to prevent damage to the baby's internal organs.
