Is AED suitable for all first aid scenarios?

AED (automated external defibrillator) is mainly suitable for emergency situations of cardiac arrest, especially when the patient has ventricular fibrillation or pulseless ventricular tachycardia. An AED can automatically analyze a patient's heart rhythm and restore normal heart rhythm through defibrillation if needed.

AEDs are widely used in many places, including but not limited to public places (such as airports, shopping malls, stadiums, etc.), medical institutions, transportation (such as buses, trains, etc.), communities and residential areas, and tourist attractions wait. In these places, AED equipment can provide timely treatment for people suffering from sudden cardiac arrest in emergency situations.

However, it is important to note that AEDs are not suitable for all emergency situations. In some cases, if the patient has other serious physical injuries or diseases, or there are other risk factors at the emergency scene, more complex first aid measures or the intervention of professional medical personnel may be required.

Additionally, while AEDs are designed to be as simple as possible to use, they still require certain operating skills and knowledge. Therefore, although AED is an effective tool to rescue cardiac arrest patients, it is not suitable for all emergency scenarios.
